ALL FOR NIKKI

UPDATE: WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP, PLEASE!

Our (and your) Nikki is facing another hurdle this week in her uphill battle with the debilitating enemy, cancer.
Nikki is exhausted, yes. She's terrified, yes. She has times when giving up seems easier.
BUT she does NOT GIVE UP! She CAN'T! It's not in her to quit. It never was.
So, instead, Nikki finally reached out again, calling only for her Prayer Warriors to keep encouraging her with their ardent pleas to God for her recovery.
As one of our Nikki's Prayer Warriors, I know the prayers reach Heaven, and resonate in God's ears. The value of prayers is inestimable.
But as Nikki's "auntie" and someone who knows and loves this self-reliant, strong, humble and resilient single mom and new grandmother, I know she'll never ask for more than your prayers.

So I am asking, most humbly, if you can find it in your heart, in your busy day and, yes, in your budget, to give more earthly, practical and immediate help for Nikki. If you can, and if your heart and wallet can make room for this brave, but exhausted girl, please donate.
Nikki has still continued to work at her job on all the days when she can bear it. But there is yet another invasive surgery looming and there is still rent to pay, groceries and gas to buy, and bills to pay.

It's a simple plea, a simple prayer, but one that begins and ends in the heart and with the love and empathy we all have for Nikki. Your help will truly be Nikki's "thanks-giving."
Thank you, sincerely, for reading this, and for your prayers.

We want you to help us help our darling Nikki, please. Nikki is the hard-working mother of two beautiful daughters and a 2 year old granddaughter nick-named "Bubbles". They are the loves of her life.
But Nikki has been battling cancer. She went through radiation and chemotherapy twice already and, although it exhausted and depleted her, she won! We all celebrated the fact that God let us keep Nikki in our family and in our lives! There was nearly a year when we all thought Nikki was in the clear. Nikki managed to go back to work, and to attend the musicals starring her daughter, who is in high school, but hoping and working for a career on Broadway one day.
Then, the heartbreaking news. That old devil cancer had returned again. We were devastated. So was Nikki. It was tempting for her to give up. She didn't know if she could stand going through it all again. She was still weak, sick and exhausted from her first and second battles with cancer.
But she felt the love we all have for her and she understood how her daughters and little granddaughter need her. So Nikki decided to once again undergo the hardest thing she had ever faced... the thing that had tried so hard to take her life from her the first time. She recently began, after only one year, radiation and chemotherapy again for the third time - for the sake of her young daughters and for the sake of her baby granddaughter "Bubbles". (Don't worry, it's only a nick name based on her adorable and bubbly personality.)
Anyone and everyone who has had cancer, or who has had cancer strike a loved one, knows that there are immense expenses associated with this horrible disease.
In addition to all the extra hospital bills, and having to stop working for an income, there are the costs of rides, OTC supplies, prescriptions, and much, much more. Even when you're in the fight for your life, bills pile up and landlords threaten.

In our family, we say, "This family is rich. And someday, we may even have money!" We are rich in our love, our closeness, and in our respect for God, family and charity toward others. But now we are asking for your help.

If you and your family, or your business, have been blessed with good health, and with the resources to help Nikki, even in the smallest way, WE NEED YOU!

Please make a contribution to help Nikki. If you can, and even if you can't, our family thanks you most humbly for your kind and compassionate attention, and we wish you and everyone you love a happy, healthy life.

Respectfully,

Nikki's Auntie Maggie
