Sweet little Cameron is a 2-years-old toddler, born with Down Syndrome. After his birth he had been required to stay in the NICU due to his inability to breath or eat on his own. The first 3 months of Cameron’s life he stayed inpatient at a hospital until he had heart surgery for a VSD repair. This past November, Cameron stopped walking, eating, and instead slept for most of the day. Even though his appetite was very poor his stomach became larger and because and was having trouble breathing. Shortly after this Cameron was diagnosed with Leukemia. The cancer had spread rapidly through his body and immediate hospitalization was needed. Today Cameron is undergoing chemotherapy and still has many more upcoming cycles. This illness has impacted our family greatly. Since Cameron is a 2-year-old autistic and nonverbal child with down syndrome, 24-hour care is needed while he receives treatment. Financially we could use some assistance with current housing and transportation expenses.
