Hi, my name is Giorgio Payne and I am 25 years old. In 2022 I was lucky enough to receive a liver transplant after a paracetamol overdose. After waiting only 6 days I was given a very healthy liver and I am truly the luckiest man alive, getting a liver in this time frame is almost unheard of and I would not be here today if it wasn't for the excellent care and attention I received at Addenbrookes. Since the transplant, walking became my favourite hobby. I do it often and at a very fast pace! The original plan was to walk from my home in Bedford all the way to the hospital in Cambridge. But I think this will be too dangerous, I don't want to walk on busy country roads. So I have decided to walk on 'The Nickey Line' in Harpenden instead. I am going to walk from 6am-6pm without stopping! It is 7 mile long so I will most likely go back and forth a few times. Any small donations will be greatly appreciated!
