All because of a KNEE

On March 22nd I fully dislocated my knee in a freak accident at jiu-jitsu. I have been out of work since then as I cannot put weight on it or even bend it.

On April 10th I had surgery to repair the ligaments and tendons that were torn.

Once the surgeon got into my knee, they saw it was worse than they expected. To quote my surgeon, "This is as bad as it gets. I lost sleep over you."

I have been and continue to be completely non weight bearing and my knee is in a brace so I cannot bend it. At yesterday's appointment with my surgeon I learned I will be out of work for another 3 and a half months.

Next week I run out of paid time off.

I am my families sole breadwinner.

Jen has been disabled for a long as I've known her and works hard at at keeping up with everyone and everything in the house. She handles everything. We have never had much but we have always been able to make it work. Unfortunately because of my injury and the amount of recovery I need, we aren't going to make it financially much longer.

This is not easy for me to do. I've always been able to provide and protect and I take great pride in that. I love my family and I want to protect our future as best I can.

Next week I run out of paid time off.

We need help. If you know me you know I don't ask for help. I'm asking now because we are down to the wire. I never thought in a million years this would ever happen but here I am.

We have our regular bills to worry about, food, home costs, gas, and now all the incoming medical bills. Although the money is about to stop coming in, the bills and cost of living are going to keep on coming.

Please, if you're are able to give, my family would be forever grateful. No amount is too small. We all understand it's rough out there.
