All 4 Paul
Due to a serious/life threatening medical condition, our coworker, friend, brother in Christ is currently in short and long term need of support.
Chief Warrant Officer 4, Paul James O’Farrell, is a 44 year old active duty service member.
For the last 5 years he has served as a Tactical UAS Technician with USSOCOM - 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Prior to his time in the military, Paul was a Chef, a helicopter pilot and a Certified Flight Instructor. It was his love for flying and adventure that led him to join the Army at age 30 to fly the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior - which he did for 7+ years. He has seen 7 deployments. 5 of those were combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He received an Air Medal and Combat Action Badge for distinguished acts of heroism on his first combat deployment to Afghanistan in 2012.
He is a native of Phoenix, AZ and is currently stationed at Fort Campbell, KY with his wife, Mary, and four children. Zachary (18) Declan (15) Saffron (12) and Astrid (8).
On February 2nd, Paul went to the emergency room because of abdominal pain; it was there that he was told his CT showed tumors on his liver.
On February 10th, Paul was diagnosed with stage 4 Invasive Colonic Adenocarcinoma which had already metastasized to his liver, lungs and peritoneal space. He will be receiving treatments at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in Nashville.
He chooses not to hear statistics or prognoses. His faith, determination and fighting Irish spirit will not allow him to quit, regardless of his diagnosis. Especially now, during the hardest fight of his life.
Also, Night Stalkers Don’t Quit.
