Aliyah's fight!

Donation protected

In October 2016, Aliyah was having severe leg pain. After a visit to a specialist and an subsequent MRI, it showed she had a mass the size of a small grapefruit. It was alarming at first, but considering Aliyah has a condition called neurofibromatosis (NF1) people can develop benign tumors that grow on the nervous system. Doctor's decided to monitor it and get an MRI every three months. As the months passed, Aliyah started to experience more pain. In February, Aliyah was hospitalized and another MRI was done, and the tumor had almost doubled in size. On February 23rd, Aliyah was admitted to an Oakland hospital for an 8 hour surgery where doctors would hopefully be able to remove this tumor. The surgery went well; however, they were unable to remove all of the tumor. Since this tumor has come back as a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor she will need radiation, one more surgery, and undergo intense physical therapy to teach her how to walk again. She still has more fighting to do! After spending a week in Oakland and numerous doctor appointments,  the bills have started to add up quickly. I have  taken unpaid time off from work because my vacation and sick time have been exhausted. I'm asking for a little bit help for  my family during this tough time. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
