Half-Marathon for THT
In February I'm going to run my first half-marathon to raise money for the Terrence Higgins Trust (THT).
THT provide a range of really helpful services in Brighton (and the rest of the UK!) such as:
Walk in sexual health screenings / HIV testing for
- gay and bisexual men and other men who have sex with men
- anyone from the BME community
- people who identify as trans or non-binary
- sex workers of any gender
Sexual health information and advice, including
- safer sex
- STIs
- sexuality
- sex workers support
- hate crimes
- chemsex
- drug and alcohol use
- PEP and PrEP
Support for people living with HIV, including
- information for newly diagnosed people
- counselling
- access to a hardship fund
- support getting back to work
- benefits advice
- advice on telling people about your HIV status
- 1-2-1 needs-led support for a range of social care issues
I first accessed the services at THT earlier in the year when a member of their team reached out to me online. They're super friendly, incredibly helpful, and always happy to give out free resources and information.
I think this is an incredible organisation and I'm excited to be supporting them. If you're able to spare a few pounds to help me reach my £200 target then that would be very gratefully received!
