A little Rescue

A little Rescue is a 501c3 non profit rescue located in CA.  We take the ones who need us the most. Our mission is to allow them the opportunity to experience the care and love they deserve. Even if it's only the last few years of their lives. I don't believe every horse needs a job. I don't believe we have the right to decide what they should be happy doing. That is often a projection of what we need them to do for us and has nothing to do with their happiness. Every horse we get is its own case and we assess their match after carefully getting to know them. After caring for and loving them and not expecting them to be or do anything. I don't agree with horse racing. Horses are too young to perform at that level and most often, not always, they are discarded and end up at the same auctions and feedlots we attend and follow all because they no longer did what you needed. I don't agree with medicating your horse to perform for your own benefit so you can hang ribbons and medals on your walls. If they can't perform, they shouldn't. These animals become my family. I love them and connect with them and I will be their voice. I am not interested in appealing to everyone. I only care about their well being.
This is our mission.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us. We are a fairly new rescue, but we are working from the heart and we will not stop until we make a difference in the lives of as many animals as we can.
