On December 4th, 2021, Alissa Ussery was hit head on by a drunk driver in Coon Rapids, MN on her way to pick up her oldest daughter. After being extracted from her car, she was transported to HCMC and immediately went into emergency surgery. She had a broken femur, shattered knee cap, dislocated ankle, broken wrist, and a major gash along her other thigh. She will be in the hospital for a few weeks before being sent to a rehab facility where she will essentially relearn how to walk. Alissa and her husband Mike have both dedicated their lives to serving others. Alissa works as a special education teacher in an elementary school, her husband is a Marine veteran and works with special education students in a setting four building. They go above and beyond for every single student they come in contact with. They also have two loving daughters, 11 years old and 15 years old. With all of these new challenges and the holiday season upon them, I'm hoping to raise money to help them through this tough and unpredictable time.
