To celebrate my 40th lap around the sun this November I set myself the challenge of finally realising my ambition to run a marathon. It has not been easy and training is not going well, but somehow I will be lining up on the start line of the 2025 Chester Marathon in less than 2 weeks time!

To further pile on the pressure (and give me a little extra motivation on the day) I have decided to use this as a great excuse to raise some money for Lane End.

All of our children have benefited hugely from their time at Lane End and as the Chair of the Governing Board I am privileged to see first hand the effort that goes in to providing the best of education and care for all its pupils. Government funding for schools is so tight right now, especially for small schools, and every little really does help to make a difference.
