Alison Oura Maui Fire Fund

This is my friend Alison (in the red). She has been my friend and a part of my Hanai family since I was 9 years old. Her mother worked with my mom at the famous Banyan Inn restaurant until it closed in 1986.

Alison is an only child and the sole caregiver of her visually impaired 88-year-old mother. She was born and raised in Lahaina and was always the first person to lend a hand to someone in need. She gave up her home several years ago and moved in with her mom to take care of her. She and her mother were not able to evacuate and had to shelter in place where they could and need help.

There will be no income coming that is vital to securing their basic needs and ability to get the medications her mother needs and pay for her medical bills. She is alone, scared and trying to continue to care for her mother. I am asking for your help to support her and her mom during this incredibly difficult time.

Funds will go to:

• Basic needs such as food and clothing for her and her mother

• Medical costs and medications

• Rebuilding their home
