Alison Frame's Legacy: Support Her Family
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate hearts.
It is with heavy hearts that we ask for your support during an incredibly difficult time for Alison Frame’s family. Alison Frame recently passed peacefully in her own home on February 24th.
Alison was a dedicated mom and step-mom to nine children. Alison had been fighting ALK positive non-small cell lung cancer for almost five years. She demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience every step of the way. Although God blessed them with much more time with her than expected, her passing was abrupt considering good and clear scans in recent months.
Even after being “cancer-free” she never had a break from daily seizures, and other side effects to the cancer or treatments received that affected her quality of life. Her cancer recently returned with a vengeance, this time attacking her brain. Alison spent her last few days in hospice care as her family managed her pain and kept her comfortable.
The financial burden of ongoing treatments, medications, and hospital visits, have been overwhelming. Insurance gaps, caretaking for Alison, and employment challenges have made it impossible for the family to manage the mounting medical bills.
We are aiming to raise $60,000 to help cover Alison’s hospice care, medical expenses, and help support Lincoln, her 7 year old son during his time of grieving and ensure her family can focus on healing without the added stress of financial hardship.
Alison was an inspiring and impactful person for all who knew her. She was loving and welcoming to all and wanted everyone to be seen. All who knew her in any capacity, including friend, teacher, coach, or mentor felt this from her. She was awarded the Alpine School district Teacher of the year before her seizures forced her to hang up her whistle and quit teaching.
Thank you so much for your generosity, compassion, and support during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Alison’s Friends and Family
