ALISA's beautiful and loving mother IRINA has died as result of an act of violence, April 15, 2021.  They moved to Canada in 2013, both learned English, attended school, worked, became Canadian citizens and had only recently moved  to a rental apartment to make a safe home.  

ALISA is a fabulous young women but still only 17 years young, with so much life ahead of her without her mom (and sole support) by her side.  She has NO relatives in Canada, her Babushka is a million miles away in Russia and she too is morning the loss of her only child IRINA MARENKOVA

ALISA has earned enough credits to graduate high school 6 month early but choose to continue for an additional semester.  She has earned scholarships to attend UFV in Sept but of course that will only cover a very small part of the cost of a 4 to 5 year business degree program.  

Many thanks to all the people and organizations for your contributions and assistance, all of which will help ALISA achieve her education goals and ensure  a promising future.
