Our dear friend and colleague Alisa Shain has been diagnosed with endometrial cancer. Last year, Alisa went through rounds of radiation and chemo treatments. In December 2024, Alisa was told she was cancer-free. At the end of January, Alisa discovered the cancer is back and has spread. She is now facing additional treatments and is hoping to be accepted into a research study. Alisa and her family will be facing financial difficulties as she continues to fight this disease. There will be significant medical expenses not fully covered by insurance.

Alisa has been a member of the Council Rock Community both as a parent and an employee of the school district. She has worked as an instructional assistant and library assistant in several buildings throughout the district, and she has been an advisor to the Council Rock South High School Golden Wings Theatre Company for many years. Alisa is kind and caring and a friend to all. She has generously helped so many others in the past and is known for giving her love selflessly.
