Ali's Medical/Memorial Support Fund

Dearest friends, and friends of friends, near and far:

A blessed opportunity has presented itself to us all—an opportunity to help some really cool people.  Our beloved friends, Ali Belz and Tamra Karuna are in the midst of a crisis and need our support. Ali has advanced colon cancer, which has metastasized to the liver. Ali is receiving wonderful palliative care, and is as physically comfortable as possible. It is our intention with this funding campaign to help both of them be financially comfortable as well, in their last few months together.

Both are self-employed and neither is working now—the medical expenses are growing, as are the pressures of maintaining the day-to-day infrastructure of living. Their meager savings are gone, their resources depleted; but ours abound! Every donation is a blessing, every gift counts.  My donation might be a drop in the bucket, but when combined with yours, and yours, and yours and YOURS, it buys them another day or week or month of financial comfort and stability. Every dollar provides relief—a chance to ease the suffering of two people who give so much, so selflessly.

Our goal is to raise $25,000.

Let’s please look into our hearts and see what feels right, and act accordingly. Whatever we decide to do, their gratitude is great that we would even consider their need.

If ever there were two beings in this world worthy of our love, respect and generosity, they are Ali and Tamra.
