Help Ali’s Broken Heart

My name is Naaznin Deaton, and I’m reaching out to you for help for my son, Ali Balouchi. Ali was born with a rare congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia. This condition has placed an unimaginable strain on his heart and lungs affecting every aspect of his everyday life.

As a child, Ali underwent countless cardiac catheterizations and two open-heart surgeries to repair his heart defect; but, now he needs yet another critical surgery to address his deteriorating health. Ali has severe breathing difficulties, with his lung function reduced to just 45%. The lack of oxygenated blood flowing to his brain and body has left him in constant pain, with overwhelming fatigue, and limited mobility and independence.

This upcoming surgery is not just an option; it is a necessity. Without it, his life and future are at great risk. Because of ongoing health challenges, Ali can no longer work, and his quality of life has been severely reduced. His medical journey has not been an easy one and as a mother, it is heartbreaking to watch your son and daughter-in-law trying to cope with the hardships of a single income and the emotional rollercoaster of constant health issues.
