Ali’s fight against Breast Cancer
Donation protected
I have always been a private person, which makes this even harder for me to share. Two months ago I was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma ( Breast Cancer). Being 35 this news came as quite a shock, especially after losing my Mother to Lung Cancer when I was 18.
Due to the aggressiveness of the Cancer and the size of the tumor (3cm), I am left with few treatment options that will prevent the Cancer from spreading. I have decided my best option to fight the tumor is a treatment called Cryoablation. This procedure will freeze and eliminate the tumor, not allowing it to spread. At this stage, this treatment is more effective than traditional treatments like radiation and chemotherapy, and is the best option to save my life. This treatment is not yet covered by insurance, so navigating this new diagnosis on my own has been quite challenging.
These past two months have been one of the most difficult times I have experienced in my life. Although I have experienced sadness, I have also allowed myself to accept the different path life has presented and I’m determined to fight. I am hopeful for a future of being cancer free in the years to come.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, sharing, and helping if you can, it means the world to me.
