ALIRP Fall 2022 Fundraiser
Tax deductible
We envision a world where all refugees and asylum-seekers find safety and live with dignity.
Help ALIRP support refugees and asylum-seekers both here in Birmingham and globally by making a donation today. Your contribution no matter the amount will help us reach our $25,000 goal.
We are an interfaith group of laypersons, clergy, and community organizations who have come together to help refugees and asylum-seekers in light of the current global refugee crisis. The group does not engage in any proselytizing or promotion of any particular religion or political affiliation. Our goal is to support refugees and asylum-seekers locally and globally by 1. Educating the community and elected officials about the current refugee crisis and refugee resettlement process; 2. Advocating for policies addressing the root causes of the refugee crisis and increasing U.S. support for refugees; and 3. Providing direct support for refugees and asylum-seekers in the US and in the Birmingham community.
We offer three levels of support to the “Partners” or
Refugees/Asylum-seeking individuals and families we
serve:
1. Full support, including rent, food, health care, and
legal expenses as well as volunteer care-team support
2. Partial support, including some financial support
and possibly also volunteer care-team support
3. Volunteer support only, as needed and according to
family needs. This can include food delivery,
transportation, English practice, etc.
