We’re Ailo’s best friend and partner – Yves and Alice – and we’re organizing this fundraiser to help Ailo cover the remaining costs of her facial feminization surgery (FFS).

Those that know Ailo know that her trans community means the world to her. She pours time, energy and love into showing up for her people – whether through her tireless research and writing around trans community, or running workshops for years in both London and Berlin to swap skills, resources and knowledge (like her make-your-own-packer and breast pad workshops).

She has inspired and helped so many of us, whether you know her through community organising, partying, or as an amazing loving goofy friend! Of course, for the last 5 years many of you will know her through her inspirational organising with London Trans Pride ❤️

The total cost for FFS is €22,100. So far, Ailo has paid a deposit of 20% of this total (€4420) and secured her surgery date for 14th September 2026. Our goal is to raise £10,000, which will go directly toward paying for the procedure. We will also be organising additional events to fundraise the remainder, including supper clubs and a party TBA!

It goes without saying but currently, gender-affirming surgeries such as FFS are not available on the NHS. The state of trans healthcare in the UK means this is only possible through mutual aid and solidarity and we’re so grateful for any contribution (no matter how big or small)!
