AL-IMAAMU NAWAWI ORPHANAGE & SCHOOL- SOMALIA

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh (May peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you).

This page is set up and managed by a group of sisters (in and around London) who are raising money for Al-Imaamu Nawawi School. 

** 100% of the donations will go towards the cause **

Al-Imaamu Nawawi is an orphanage and school founded in 2013. It’s based in the Galgaduud region of Somalia. The centre is full of children aged 6-15 with dreams and hopes for a promising future. Sadly, so full that the 3 brothers running it are struggling to take care of them all. Currently 50 children are under their care. They are fed, clothed and educated in an overcrowded building. The lack of facilities and space means the primary school children have to be educated outside, without desks and chairs. The secondary school children are lacking in educational resources such as books which hinders their education.

WHERE WILL MY DONATIONS GO?

-      Renovation of the building to provide the children with a stimulating learning environment

1. My name is Rahma I live in England. 

2. I am raising money for a school and orphanage in Somalia. The orphanage and school is ran by 3 men who a family of mine met in Somalia. They are struggling to support the children's education and wellbeing, hence why we started this gofundme page. 

3. Money raised will be spent on: 

-      Important books, stationary and bags for the children 

-      Desks and tables for the primary school children

-      Renovation of the building to provide the children with a stimulating learning environment 

-      Extension of 1 new classrooms and a toilet (if possible)

4. The money raised will be transfered to my bank account and from there, we will use a money transfer service called Dahabshiil (see https://www.dahabshiil. co.uk/) where the money will land in the account of the school and orphanage owners.
