Update on Alik:
On Saturday May 20th 2023 our near and dear friend, brother, and son Alik Gybenia was in an accident resulting him in being in critical condition and airlifted to Harborview Hospital. It is with heavy hearts that we inform you all that Alik has gone to be with the Lord, on Saturday, May 27th after a long and hard fight for his life.
Alik, 18-year-old refugee from Ukraine, lived in the States alone with no family. Alik had many plans for this year. The main one was to dedicate his life to Christ through water baptism. He was a caring hardworking, God-fearing man. Throughout his life, he had impacted everyone around him. His smile, his thoughtful heart, and his love for Christ always shined bright.
Coming to the States he was hopeful of beginning a better life for himself, and helping his family back home in Ukraine.
His parents arrived in the States on Friday, May 26th 2023 to see their son. They hoped to see their son get better and to be with him during his recovery. Unfortunately, that was not the case for them. Less than a week in America, and they are planning their eldest son's funeral. They are asking for your continued prayer support and if your heart is open, to help them financially.
Donations from this fundraiser are being sent directly to Aliks father Ivan. These funds will be used for the funeral expenses and any medical costs.
All the finances collected will go toward any medical expenses and funeral expenses. The remainder of the finances will help with the travel expenses for the parents, as they will be heading back to their family in Ukraine.
