Help Lay My Baby Brother Dacari Jenkins to Rest
It’s with a broken heart that I share the unexpected passing of my beloved baby brother, Dacari Jenkins. Dacari was only 26 years old and the youngest of six siblings he was our baby, our joy, and the light in so many of our lives.
Dacari had been living with seizures since the age of 13, but he never let his condition define him. He pushed through every challenge, stayed positive, and continued to accomplish things that made us all so proud. He had a heart full of love, and he shared it freely with everyone he met.
Dacari and I were incredibly close. We talked often, and when I hadn’t heard from him for a couple of days, I became worried. On April 17, just after midnight, I called the police and requested a wellness check. They broke down the door to his apartment and found him… already gone, lying in his bed in a pool of blood.
The pain of that moment is something I will never forget. I could smell the tragedy before even knowing what happened, and all I could do was scream and cry.
Now, in the midst of my grief, I am faced with trying to give my brother the proper funeral he deserves. The funeral expenses are estimated at $6,000, and I don’t have the means to cover this on my own. I’m humbly asking for help from anyone willing to support us during this heartbreaking time.
Whether it’s a donation of any amount, sharing this fundraiser, or simply offering a prayer, I appreciate it with all of my heart. I just want my brother to be laid to rest with love, dignity, and peace.
Please, please help if you can.
With love and gratitude,
