Hi all,
Here's a quick update!
I have good news! Alicia was able to raise $7651.97 and I raised another $6278.00 while Mike raised about $800.00.
Today Alicia deposited $7000 and I deposited $4525.00 to make the $11,500.00 treatment payment and get an appointment for the 28th of June!!
The hospital can be between $3000-$6000 (the peso to the dollar is not in our favor - so the prices increased). I still have $2000 left (in go fund me) tor travel, hotel, etc, but once we are there, the hospital bill will need to be paid by credit card or wire. If you can contribute for this, I believe that would get us a lot farther with less worry!

My name is Colleen, health care practitioner and Auntie to my darling 35-year-old niece, Alicia. Alicia was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. By the time she discovered the lump in her breast, it had already grown quite large.
Luckily, I have worked with a brilliant interventional radiologist, Jason Williams, M.D. He is capable of freezing the tumor, which prevents spread of the tumor at the cellular level. This process is called cryotherapy. Very few doctors are well trained at this -- he’s done thousands! Cryotherapy is Alicia’s best option for killing the tumor and preventing her cancer from spreading. Statistically, cryotherapy is more effective than traditional treatments like radiation and chemotherapy.
Cryotherapy is not yet recognized by the FDA, which means it is not covered by insurance and Alicia must travel to Mexico for the procedure. The treatment is $12,000 and hospital is $4,500. Additionally, Alicia will need funds for air fare and other incidentals for this trip.
Unfortunately, Alicia cannot afford the cost of this procedure on her own. She has limited support from her family as her mother passed from lung cancer and she is estranged from her father.
Anything that you can contribute would be fantastic, time is of the essence! So, please, please, reach into your hearts and help Alicia fund a safe treatment for a potentially deadly disease!
Much appreciated, much ALOHA!
Colleen
