This Go Fund Me account has been created for my sister in law (sister by heart) Alicia Guerra or, as her family affectionately calls her, LaLa. (see her beautiful face below).
Alicia is a 40 year young , vivacious woman with a contagious laugh. She is a selfless woman who has been the caretaker of her 81 year young mother and (now deceased) father. Now the role is reversed, and she needs an army of supporters to care for her.
Near end of 2018, LaLa was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer of the liver and lungs. She received her first round of chemotherapy early in January of 2019 and was doing well until a bacterial infection in her blood compromised her kidney function and she had to be life flighted from Rock Springs, Wyoming to the Huntsmen Cancer Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was in the hospital for a week and a half fighting the infection and hoping her kidney function would return to normal. Thankfully, the infection was conquered and her kidney function improved. As of now, Alicia is back home and receiving chemotherapy again. She is a fighter and has a long battle ahead of her.
This fund raiser is to help Alicia with medical costs and the basic costs of living. She is unable to work due to the cancer as well as the side effects of chemotherapy. The state of her health is very fragile. She needs our help, so she doesn't have to worry about paying for treatment or living costs and she can just focus on the FIGHT.
