Alicia Tyler Lost Wages and Medical Bills Fund

Hi, my name is Heather and I am raising funds for Alicia Tyler. I have worked with Alicia at two different medical facilities in my Nursing career. Alicia is 44 years old and has been diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer called Typical Carcinoid Neuroendocrine Lung Cancer. She had her first surgery on March 19th. She was told afterward that the pathology came back inconclusive and that they would have to wait for the results to know if they got all of the cancer during the wedge dissection, or if they would have to do another surgery to remove more. She then found out that another surgery was needed. This surgery will take place today or tomorrow (March 25 or 26th.) They will now be removing the entire lobe. And then she faces an 8-week recovery. She will be hospitalized for some of these 8 weeks and will then return home and meet with an Oncologist to see if more treatment will be necessary.

During this experience, Alicia cannot work and will lose all wages during this time. She does not have benefits through her work and so needs help to pay her bills during this time and may also need help with medical bills.

Alicia is one of the most altruistic souls that I have met to date. She has been involved in mission work and she goes out of her way to bring joy to all that she meets showering those around her with love, gifts, food, shoulder massages, and more. She volunteers her time in many capacities and is affectionately known in the homeless community as the Soup Lady! She was told by a patient recently that she is a "fucking humanitarian!" He was not wrong. She has helped many individuals on her own but also has helped through various organizations. Her life has been devoted to helping others and now is the time that she needs our help.
