I'm writing this on behalf of my dearest friend, Alicia. She is a writer and published author, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. Not to mention a beloved cat caretaker, who could use some help.

Some background on what's happening: Alicia has had glaucoma for many years and has endured a number of eye surgeries since that diagnosis. Cataracts formed, which led to more surgery. Complications then came in the form of scar tissue that caused cornea failure, leading to two more surgeries. Now, both corneas are failing, and she is losing her sight, quickly. She must have cornea transplant surgery ASAP. Unfortunately, the cost of her copay for surgery, subsequent follow-up visits, and medication is beyond what's possible for her to cover without assistance. Anything you can possibly contribute to her cause will make a profound impact on her current medical situation and overall quality of life.
