Help Alicia & family manage life with Scleroderma

Hi Family/Friends, hope you`re having a great Summer….

As most of you know, our Mom/Wife/Nana/Mother-in-Law Jackie battled an auto immune disease for 10 years called Scleroderma, while it heartbreakingly ended in the loss of her life on earth, it didn’t stop her generous heart and spirit from continuing to live on through all of us.

Our Mom was blessed to have the support of family/friends and the financial resources for the medical care throughout her battle with Scleroderma, unfortunately not all survivors battling this disease are that fortunate.

Through her loving spirit, and as a way of honoring her, we connected with a family in Edgerton, Minnesota 3 years ago being impacted daily by this awful disease. Our goal at that time was a simple one, do what we can to help make life easier for them, while reminding them through generosity there are people out there who care and understand what they`re going through. What we didn’t realize at the time was the love over these years that would be developed for this family.

Please meet Alicia Espinoza, who is a beautiful fun-loving teenager, and although is certainly not being defined by it, has been in a battle herself with Scleroderma. Alicia, along with her Mother Beatriz and her four siblings we have had the blessing to get to know over the past 3 years. While life is not easy for Alicia and even her Mother, she has conquered every challenge and fear this disease continues to put in front of her. It’s hard to imagine life as a teenager battling any disease, especially one that comes with so much of the unknown, but we couldn’t be more proud of how she has persevered.

Our GoFundMe campaign is a simple one, help raise not only awareness of this disease, but specifically raise money to help Alicia and her family with ongoing medical bills and everyday living expenses.
