Our lovely dog Alice has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia in both of her hips. This sadly means she is unable to walk, run and play as she normally would.
Her final treatment option is a complete hip replacement - a procedure that requires a specialist orthopaedic veterinary surgeon. She is otherwise healthy and this surgery could mean a massive increase in her quality of life for years to come.
Alice has been referred to the Queen Mother Hospital for Small Animals in Hatfield, and we hope she will be able to have her surgery in the New Year. Unfortunately, this procedure has been estimated to cost approximately £7,000.
We would really appreciate any help - Alice means so much to us, and we want her to get back to her happy old self as soon as possible. Donations would significantly ease the burden for our family.
