It covered only part of - over one million dollars related to bone marrow transplant. Yes, you read that number right. Plus, a large chunk has also gone to even more testing for the second rare disorder that took hold of Alice post-transplant. After years of medical trauma and overwhelming related expenses most of what you see is gone. And her struggle is not over yet...

Now, Alice needs surgery soon. We are scrambling to make up the gap and must seek help beyond our immediate circle. Please help us get the word out by sharing wherever you see fit!

Our dear Alice has been so brave but she is getting so tired now - and her spirit is heavy. Please help her finally claim victory over this season of illness she has endured. Please help her get her life back.

Alice was cured of lethal aplastic anemia 3 years ago through bone marrow transplant but for the last year and a half... she hasn't been able to walk on her own - or drive, or hold a job. She also suffers double vision. That's because Alice now has a very rare structural issue near her brain - which requires intra-cranial surgery. NOW. We've tried medicine for months - to avoid this risky surgery - but the medicine is not working. She's so disappointed, but not giving up yet.

Seems so unfair - but God has provided a cure once - and he will again! That cure is literally BRAIN SURGERY and there's a world-renowned specialist - right in Covington! The bad news is... this surgery is not covered by ANY insurance at all and the surgeon fee alone is $15,000.

So, on this final stretch of Alice's journey back toward "normal," that's our challenge: we still need to find or raise at least $12,000, at this point.
