Please Help: Alice's Finish Line Just Got Moved Back.

It's been quite a journey - wish there was better news. But, we've learned that this is a marathon, not a sprint.

Alice's new immune system continues to grow and mature. Soon she will be able to get her childhood vaccinations over again. That means freedom! That's the good news.

But the "cure" has brought it's own challenges. Just when she thought she'd get back to living (job, friends, freedom), a simple virus left her with mobility issues no young person should have to suffer. She can't walk well and absolutely cannot drive either.

About five months ago, she got a simple fever - the origin of which was never determined by her medical team, despite herculean efforts. Any fever, in her fragile condition, is cause for great concern and many tests were conducted - all of which were inconclusive. After about 10 days, the fever went away much to everyone's great relief. Back on track, or so we thought.

When the fever went away, the dizziness settled in for an extended stay. And now, our dear Alice needs assistance to go about everyday activities most of us take for granted. After 2 years of struggle, she could see the finish line - and now that line has been moved further back again.

So, again, more tests, more specialists, more physical therapy - more isolation, loneliness, disappointment. Through it all, she maintains her sense of humor and is the bravest person we know. And there is HOPE.

Looks like God has another miracle in store for Alice!

We've found a world-renown clinic in Covington that specializes in balance and dizziness! They offer "next level" diagnostics and treatment unavailable anywhere else. Patients travel from all over the globe for treatment there - as far away as Norway, Spain, UK and more. Great news!

BUT, this clinic doesn't take any insurance. So, here we go again, scrambling to pay for a miracle.
