To everyone who may not yet have heard the news, our dear friend Alice King died unexpectedly due to health complications on Saturday, June 30th.
As you are all aware, Alice is mom to Zach and loving partner of Wayne. What has happened is beyond comprehension and we are all still in shock. Understandably Wayne and Zach are both struggling to cope, so I am stepping in along with other family and friends to help with Alice’s Celebration of Life.
Alice touched everyone that she came into contact with in a special way. She was never judgemental, but after just a few minutes with someone, she had a keen sense of who they were and what they were about; it was a special power that allowed her to surround herself with real and authentic people. Alice is one of the few who had a true sense of herself and that energy radiated from every bone in her body. Alice was a straight shooter with a deep contagious laugh. She was an artist and a creator with a unique, but impeccable style. She was a loving- but never overbearing- parent, patient, and caring wife, true and honest friend and support system for many. The right words don't exist to justly describe the kind of person Alice was, but the powerful impact she had on all of us will never be forgotten.
Alice lived a large part of her life in immense pain due to a lifetime of injuries and health complications, though you would never know or hear her complain this consistent pain took a toll on her quality of life. Both new and old health issues created a financial burden for the family. The stress of dealing with financial stress while trying to mourn a mother or partner is something no one should have to go through. We all know how expensive funeral arrangements and memorials are, and I know that many people are looking for a way to help this incredible family.
We have already had numerous emails, texts and messages from people asking how to help, so this campaign has been created as a way to keep everyone up-to-date with plans, and also offer a place for messages and donations to be left.
If you would like to donate, just click on the donate button and donate whatever you can. If you are not able to donate don’t forget you can still leave messages and comments for Wayne and Zach to read.
Also, make sure you follow this page so that you receive any updates regarding the Celebration of life happening Sunday, July 15th at the home of loving friends Jennifer Kent Larochelle and Roger Larochelle. 251 Valley View Road in Hebron 03241. If you don’t have GPS just follow the purple balloons from Hebron Common.
If anyone has any questions, you can send me a message by clicking on my name at the top of the page.
