Ali Shaikh Emergency Fund
My cousin and friend Ali is fighting for his life. On August 1st, Ali had a near-drowning at Virginia Beach having been pulled into the water by the strong tides. His heart stopped beating, and he needed resuscitation for almost an hour before he was moved to a local hospital. Even when his heartbeat came back, he suffered multiple cardiac arrests, a seizure, brain swelling, and a spine fracture. He is only 26 years old. We haven't even been able to see him due to COVID19 and have been desperately trying to get him transferred to a university hospital for over 2 days.
Ali is the light of so many of our hearts including his mother, little brother and little sister. He has always made himself available to anyone who needs him, and has shown no shortage of love to everyone around him. His vibrant personality has left a lasting impact on everyone who has met him. He is hardworking and dedicated, and is even up for a promotion in the coming month. We are so proud of him and love him so much.
Currently Ali remains in a coma with his life-threatening spinal fracture and needs to be transported via air ambulance/helicopter immediately from the the local hospital to one more equipped to deal with his critical and time-sensitive injuries. It has been 2 days and his condition is deteriorating. His single mother urgently needs the required funds to help pay help for the medical and surgical bills that she cannot afford. We cannot save his life alone and in this difficult time, I beg you to help our family and donate to Ali’s fund so that we can get him this life-saving transportation and treatment.
