Ali & Siraj's Charity-COVID19 impacted slum people

Hi we are Ali and Siraj students of John Adams Middle School in Edison. When we lived in India from 2010 - 2013 we learned a lot about the slums of Mumbai and how they struggle to survive on a daily basis.  We are trying to raise funds for the poor in slums of Mumbai who are most impacted by the Covid 19 lockdowns. Since they are daily wage earners they cannot afford to buy basic items needed for their households and are barely able to eat one proper meal a day. We are supporting a Non Profit Trust called 'Shanti' meaning 'peace' where funds are collected and used to buy rations and our brave volunteers in Mumbai ensure the supplies reach the poor in these areas.  We have already started this good work but now we need more funds because we are getting requests from many slum areas. Please donate generously. Even a small amount can make a huge difference. It costs approx. $12 to feed one family for a month with following supplies: Wheat - 5 Kgs; Rice - 5 Kgs; Sugar - 2 Kgs; Lentils (Dal) - 2 Kgs; Oil - 1 litre; Tea leaves - 1 packet.
