Help Philly's Own Vegan Grill Grow!

Hi! We Are Philly Magazine's Best Food Truck, Queen Village's Own Fast Casual Restaurant, plus Catering & Events. All 100% VEGAN. On behalf of all of us, this is Matt! I own and operate Algorithm Vegan Grill, a small local business, striving to support other small regional businesses.

I have bootstrapped the operation from Day 1, as I firmly believe in the rights of non-human animals. I also firmly believe in taking care of the people that take care of you; and we have one of the most impeccable, high-performing teams in this amazing city I call home. They deserve everything they could want. The Food Truck opened in September 2020, smack in the middle of the pandemic. Now the restaurant in Queen Village is working on stabilization, but we opened during the slowest season of the year.

There are no investors; I have bootstrapped the truck, and now a fast-casual restaurant, since day 1. There are so many people that have given their unconditional support and that has carried up over the past 3 years since acquiring the truck. It sure takes a village... and damn do we have some amazing humans we have in our family. I am asking for $65,097.36.

Any parts of first half $31,627.69 would exclusively clear out current and previously existing rent / occupancy, ulitilies, insurance, equiment finance packages, repairs / maintenance, legal fees, and debt (again all current and previous).

Any parts of the second half, $33,469.67, will go exclusively toward our food vendors & suppliers, our team for their exemplary performance, and new repairs / maintenance.

We're currently 6.42% toward our goal and we need to move the needle!

I have 25 years of experience in restaurants (some successes, some failures). I am committed to being a recovery-friendly workplace and do work myself in a program. The feelings of fulfillment, pride and unbridled joy I receive from working with this team, our vendors, and the amazing guests in this vibrant local Philadelphia area community are like no other. Algorithm Vegan Grill is built on Caphe Roasters, Merzbachers, Baker Street, Blackbird, Soy Boy, Girodano's, and more. These are the roots that center Algorithm, which act as canvases for our culinary teams to work their magic. We have been named Philadelphia Magazine's Best Food Truck; we have catered everything from concerts to weddings to the Flower Show (and more), all out of a 128-square-foot kitchen on a food truck. Now, we get to expand our skills and really rock the city. We are also projected to get a space in Center City in 2024...
