Alfredo “Freddy” Biamonte

My name is Natalie Scruggs and I am starting this Go Fund Me to help my Best Friend, Antonella Biamonte, after the unexpected death of her beloved husband.

On December 21, 2023 at 2:34 PM we lost a beautiful soul, Freddy Biamonte. He was taken to the hospital at 7:30 AM Wednesday complaining of stomach pains. By the next afternoon, he was gone. Unfortunately, he had sepsis of the gallbladder, and soon after entering the hospital, all of his organs had shut down.

Freddy was the rarest of individuals who would willingly lay down his life for family, friends, or even strangers if called upon. He is survived by the love of his life, Antonella - a woman who lives for others. For the last nine years, Antonella sacrificed her career to be the sole caregiver of Freddy who was completely dependent upon her, and as such, she has no income of her own. You see, while working as a correctional officer in the state of New York, Freddy became severely disabled when he attempted to break up a fight between two inmates. Unable to continue working, Freddy chose to take his maximum retirement allowance which is the highest pension payments entitled by law. The downside to this is that no further pension payments are made after death nor are there any survivor payments, thus Antonella is not qualified for any continued support. She is now left with burial expenses and an overwhelming mortgage. She does not know what to do and is presently selling what she can to provide Freddy the memorial he deserves.

I created this Go Fund Me to ask everyone to search their heart and pocketbook to support Antonella in her time of need. There is no one more deserving of that love and support than Antonella. If you knew her personally, you would wholeheartedly agree. She lives for others, never wanting praise or accolades.

Please tell the ones you care about that you love them, you never know when they or you will be unexpectedly snatched away.

On a Side Note: Freddy's favorite pastime was watching table games on YouTube and Facebook. The Biamontes recently moved to Florida, away from the snow of New Jersey, to retire. Shortly after this move, he found out that a local card room would allow him to stream, so he created his very own table game channel on YouTube, Big Italian Bear Poker. Antonella was always at his side so he could realize his new passion. Freddy was so excited about his channel, and he always told Antonella that should anything ever happen to him, she should continue in his honor. Antonella hopes to do so, but with no income currently, she plans to move back to New Jersey to be with her family. She does have hopes of eventually making trips back to Florida to film videos in memory of Freddy that will be released on Big Italian Bear Poker on YouTube.
