Dear Friends and Family,

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart to share that my father, Alfredo Astrain, passed away on Monday, September 2025. My father had undergone surgery for his abdominal aorta last Wednesday and as a result of his cardiac condition, he was sent to a rehab facility where he was supposed to have been well taken care of but instead was lacked attention which led to him to have an intracerebral hemorrhage. Unfortunately, when my mother and I arrived the doctor's told us that there was nothing left to do. We clung on as long as we could to my father, but it wasn't fair for him to continue to suffer. Having surpassed 2 stents a triple bypass and lastly 5 stents in his abdominal aorta was enough suffrage and we didn't want to continue the pain since the doctors told us that if he would have resisted once the respiratory tubes were taken out, he would have been brain dead regardless.

Unfortunately, we were not prepared for this moment either emotionally or economically. My mother and I do not fully have the means to give my father a decent burial. He wasn't a person who liked luxurious things, he was simple, and that is what we would like to give him as his last wish. We will not be holding a funeral with visitations because as I mentioned above, he was simple and always said that the day he died he would just want myself and my mother to go by his side. We were a little triangle and today, one side to our triangle is gone.

During this time of unforeseen circumstances on behalf of my mother and myself, I am asking for donations to help cover funeral and burial expenses.
