Two weeks ago, our father, uncle, and friend, Alfredo Alvarez, of 55 years was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. This devastating news has caught our entire family by surprise. The cancer has now metastasized and invaded several other areas of his body (bones and lungs) and unfortunately the removal of the cancer is no longer an option. His current treatment will consist of slowing down the spread of his cancer as we continue to seek other means of treatment.

We are starting this fundraising effort to ease the huge financial impact that these continuous tests and treatments will have on our family. As we try to get him the best treatment to prolong his life and to provide him with the best quality of life we reach out to our friends, family, and colleagues to help us with the numerous incurring medical bills and anything that he might need to help support him through this incredibly tough time.
