Alfonzo ‘Megatron’ Hunt fundraiser

Alfonzo 'Megatron' Hunt started dancing in 1978, beginning with a Boston crew called Cosmic Reaction. He was a founding member of the Floor Lords in 1980, and has performed on stage with some of the foremost artists of his time. "A lot of the crews I was a part of in those days worked really hard, and I was very happy to take part because they taught me that if you put the work in, success will come.  I've lived by that all my life and instill that in my students. You must develop the foundation that you will represent in your styles; that will make you who you are."

Please help by making a donation--even $5-10 will make a difference in supporting the critical first months of his transition back to society.  Please also consider donating your time, by offering an online dance lesson as an incentive for newcomers to donate.  Many dancers honed their craft under Tron's guidance, or received exposure at his events. "I left the dance scene and am returning to find that a lot has changed. I would never wish anyone to experience this situation in the penal system.  I've been scarred in a way that most people would never think possible. Our justice system is very flawed, and I'm hoping that our new president can help to change that.  However, I'm very excited to finally be coming home to the scene that I miss and love so much.  I want to bring back the true essence of the dance while respecting the new cats that are putting their own spin on it.  I look forward to teaching and learning from everyone, and seeing some of my old friends who've been with me throughout this journey.  Thank you to those who are donating to my cause, and helping me get on my feet, and allowing me to have a successful transition back into society.  I look forward to building a lasting bond and friendship with you brothers and sisters.
