As most of you may already know, my uncle alfonso aka “fonzi” had an accident at work a few months back that left him with a hurt knee. After being seen, news that no one ever wants to hear was told. My uncle had a cancerous tumor in his knee, and was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. A knee replacement was the only option to help fix the knee, and get rid of the tumor that he had. Once the knee replacement was done, he was on the road to recovery. Unfortunately, he had another accident that reopened his knee, and another surgery was performed.

Fast forward a few weeks.

Lately he had been having back problems, problems that were making it hard for him to sit, walk and stand. He was admitted to the hospital to have tests run to see what the problems were, and was then transferred to MCH in Odessa where he had another MRI. We have now learned that he has cancerous tumors on his spine, the cause of his pain. Our next move is having him transferred to Dallas to have surgery on his back to help remove the tumor that is causing such pain. I reach out to family and friends to help in any way possible. Money should not be a worry for him at this time.  Since his initial injury, he has been unable to work. His only focus should be on getting better, so that he may have a healthy life with us and his children. Not only do we seek financial help, but we are asking for all the prayers possible. Prayers to help heal him, prayers for strength and prayers for tranquility. We are all brothers and sisters, and when one of us hurts, we all hurt.
