Alfie the Frenchie’s Gall Bladder Surgery
Donation protected
Jessica is a 34 year old woman living with a condition called Osteogenesis Imperfecta. This means she breaks her bones easily. She uses a power wheelchair and is on a Disability Support Pension. This puts a large financial strain on her as you can imagine.
She has a beautiful 4-and-half-year-old French Bulldog named Alfie. He was recently diagnosed with Gallbladder Mucocele formation (GBM). This will eventually cause blockages and his gallbladder will rupture. If this happens he will very likely die. Nobody can determine when this will happen. Medication is no guarantee, the only real solution is to remove his gallbladder. This is a very expensive surgery. Please see quote in pictures.
Jessica does have pet insurance but this will not cover all the cost. If you could please donate whatever you can and share this link, it would be greatly appreciated.
Alfie is Jessica’s world and is such a big emotional support for her. Please help get Alfie the surgery he needs so he can go on to live a long, healthy and happy life with his very devoted owner Jessica.
Update: 2 May 2025
Alfie visited the Vet today for new bloodwork - and Vet advice is to wait while medication/specialised dietary focus and subsequent ultrasounds will address the gall bladder issue - at the moment the operation has no set date.
Thank you so much for your donations. I will be using part of the donations for his ultrasounds, bloodwork and medications moving forwards towards his operation.
