Born and raised in the vibrant city of Bangalore in India, I've always been a City girl with a morbid fear of heights.  I've lived with that deep fear for most of the  years of my life. Through my career as a doctor, having lived and worked in India, Scotland and now Australia, I've seen a vast number of  women succumbing to this dreaded disease. The anguish and trauma that families and young children go through following the loss of a mum is devastating.

The Border Ovarian Cancer Awareness Group are committed to raising funds through donation and sponsorship collection to raise awareness, offer community education and disease prevention of Ovarian Cancer. When I became aware of  the "Toss your Boss" campaign and fundraising through the Skydiving experience, I accepted the challenge! 
I realised that my fear of heights is very trivial compared to the torment and distress  that individuals and their families go through with the diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer. I cannot see a  better reason to overcome my fear of heights than to do it for such a noble purpose. 

We require more awareness in our communities  for early detection of this dreaded disease. We need more treatment options for Ovarian Cancer. We absolutely deserve a better survival rate for our patients.
