The Icelandic Highland Song

This is a well known old Icelandic song that embodies the drama and mystery of Icelandic nature and living with those forces.
It talks about riding your horses home from the highland before nightfall. The Elf Queen is getting her steed ready and you do not want to cross paths with her...

I've long had a version of the song in my head with many overlayed voices - it came to me whilst in the Icelandic highland in fact - and it's a dream of mine to record it as I hear it to share this creation with the world.

You can hear the demo I've made in the YouTube video above. The track is pretty rough, purely home made in GarageBand with a relatively bad microphone and it's only part of the song. The idea is to take it further by recording it in a studio with a professional producer and real live musicians.

The producer Søren Stenager has given a quote of  20.000 Danish Kroner all in all for a finished track worthy of radio including live studio musicians, which is standard fare.
