In the early hours of Saturday 13 July 2019 our talented and beloved friend, Alf Nguyen, suddenly collapsed doing what he loved — playing music and entertaining a crowd. Attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful. Alf passed from Ischemic heart disease (please read update below).
This sudden and devastating loss has hit all those who knew Alf, but none more so than his family, especially his loving wife Rita McCulloch.
We would like to help Rita by alleviating some of the enormous financial burden she is now facing. This includes funeral costs, living expenses, household bills, and care for 5-year-old Chauncey, who was recently diagnosed with Autism.
We are reaching out to everyone who was touched by Alf to contribute whatever they can toward financial aid for Rita and Chauncey during this most heartbreakingly difficult time.
Those who knew Alf knew of his enormous love of life, his mighty laugh, and his never-ending love for family. His unwavering loyalty to friends was legendary, as was his passion for music, basketball, and amazing — if sometimes bizarre — old-school Asian eats.
Alf Nguyen, aka A.L.F/First Grandson, was a legend in the Sydney music scene, admired and loved by his musical comrades and all those he entertained with his music. He was always wearing a smile, ever happy to see mates, and always ready with a warm embrace for those he hadn’t seen in a while.
Alf was a husband, father, son, brother, cousin, friend and hard-working colleague. He not only worked as a DJ but also as a music producer and a computer storage extraordinaire. His work ethic was unwavering.
This fund has been set up with the assistance of Alf’s friends with the proceeds going directly to Rita. Please share this cause to your Facebook timeline to enable us help Alf’s family.

**UPDATE**
Alf passed from Ischemic heart disease also called Coronary Heart Disease.
His condition was considered very severe and he would of had this for several years. This is a silent killer and there is few or minor symptoms.
Rita has urged me to pass on the following message.
Despite Alf being health and diet conscience you cannot in some cases outrun your risk factors.
Please if you have any concerns around your own health or you have a family history of cardiac issues, feel tired or have any irregular heart beats, fainting or pain please do not hold off seeing your doctor and also we urge you to have a stress test done as well as blood tests.
Please take care of your hearts because we heart you.
