I am Omaira Solís Alvarado, Aleyda's sister. I want to help her because she is the kindest and most generous person I know. No matter how little she has, she always finds a way to share it with o thers who need help. Now she has cancer and needs urgent surgery. The surgery is more than she and her family can afford in today's Venezuela economy, where the average salary is approximately five dollars/monthly.
Her Story:
My name is Aleyda Solís Alvarado, I was born on September 6th, 1958 in Maracay, Aragua State, Venezuela. I am a mother of two children: Alexander and Ernesto Arévalo Solís. I have been working in a Public Company for 43 years.
I would like to tell you my story and why I am here knocking on your doors. In 2015, I began to feel a severe pelvic pain (which lasted two to three months). I was evaluated with several studies by a gynecologist and nephrologist, without finding the cause. In the following years, mild pains appeared sporadically, and I regularly attended several appointments with specialists, without finding the apparent cause. Time passed and three months ago, the symptoms reappeared, currently, the pain has been unbearable even having blood when urinating. I was immediately evaluated by the urologist where through a * bladder cystoscopy * they observed a tumor, they took a sample for a pathological laboratory, resulting in a Papillary Urothelial Carcinoma (Malignant Cancer). Therefore, I urgently require a surgical intervention, which is why I am writing to you because my family and I lack the necessary resources to carry it out, at this time the surgery has a cost of five thousand dollars, plus the post-treatment costs.
Day and night I feel this consistent worry, my soul does not rest when the urologist's words are repeated in my mind, "You need to have this surgery immediately." I feel a lot of sadness, nights without sleep seem to me forever. Only the promise of God our Lord helps me, the words in the Psalm comforts me: "Do not fear, I am your God. Do not lose heart, I will sustain you with the right hand of my righteousness". With my heart in my hand, I call for everyone’s compassion, support, and for their valuable and blessed contribution to be able to get my surgery. Without your collaboration it would be impossible for me to fight this cancer. May God bless you and multiply your donation in health and prosperity.

Soy Omaira Solís Alvarado, hermana de Aleyda, quiero ayudarla porque ella es la persona más bondadosa y generosa que yo he conocido. No importa que tan poco ella tenga, siempre busca la manera de compartir con otros que necesiten su ayuda. Tiene cáncer y necesita urgentemente una cirugía, cuyo costo es más de lo que ella y la familia hoy en día pudieran reunir en Venezuela, donde el salario mínimo mensual equivale aproximadamente a unos cinco dólares.
Su historia:
Soy Aleyda Solís Alvarado, nací el 06 de Septiembre del año 1958 en Maracay, Estado Aragua, Venezuela. Madre de dos hijos: Alexander y Ernesto Arévalo Solís. Actualmente y desde hace 43 años, presto servicios en una Empresa Pública.
Ahora les contaré porque estoy aquí tocando sus puertas. En el año 2015 comencé a sentir fuertes dolores pélvicos (los cuales duraron de dos a tres meses) por lo que fui evaluada con varios estudios por ginecòlogo y neufrólogo, sin encontrar la causa. En los años siguientes esporádicamente se estuvieron presentando dolores leves, regularmente realicé chequeo con los especialistas, sin encontrar la causa aparente. Pasó el tiempo, y desde hace tres meses reaparecieron los síntomas, los dolores son insoportables presentando sangre al orinar. Inmediatamente fui evaluada por urología dónde a través de una *cistoscopia vesical* observaron un tumor, se tomó muestra para laboratorio patológico, dando como resultado Carcinoma Urotelial Papilar (Cáncer maligno). En virtud de esto requiero con suma urgencia, intervención quirúrgica, motivo por el cual me dirijo a ustedes porque aunada a la familia carecemos de los recursos para llevarla a cabo, pues tiene un costo en este momento de cinco mil dólares, más los tratamientos post operatorios.
Día y noche me invade la angustia, no reposa mi alma cuando en mí mente se repite las palabras del urólogo, "debes ser intervenida ya". Siento mucha tristeza, noches sin dormir se me hacen eternas dando vueltas. Solo me sostiene la promesa de Nuestro Señor en el Salmo: "No temas, que Yo soy tu Dios. No desmayes, que te sustentaré con la diestra de mí justicia". En tal sentido, hago un llamado a la sensibilidad de todos, para pedir, con el corazón en la mano, su valioso y bendecido aporte para poder operarme. Sin tu colaboración sería imposible. Mí Dios los bendice y les multiplique su donativo en salud y prosperidad.
