This fundraiser is to help the Alex Smith family during his battle with End Stage Renal Disease and his eventual kidney transplant. Alex Smith is a 44 year old husband and father of four children (14, 10, 4, and 2 years old). Alex was diagnosed in March 2025 with ESRD and found out he had a rare Autoimmune disease called IGA, which has caused his kidneys to fail . He has been on dialysis since April 2025 and has had to switch from peritoneal dialysis to hemodialysis, back to peritoneal dialysis. He currently does dialysis 7 days a week for 9 hours a day. His disease has progressed to the point he can no longer work. He has been placed on the Kidney Transplant list at St. John Hospital in Tulsa, OK ( as well as UNOS). When he is blessed with a kidney donation, after the transplant he will be quarantined for at least 12 weeks. This fundraiser will help with all the unknown expenses so Alex and his family can focus on healing and spending precious time together. Thank you for your donation, prayers, or sharing his story!
