On Christmas morning, Alex attempted to take his own life. We came incredibly close to losing him—but he survived, and for that we are endlessly grateful.

Since our last update, Alex has had six more surgeries, including facial reconstruction. He’s facing about four months of healing, followed by three months of recovery and rehab. It’s a long road, and one we’re taking day by day.

While we’re focused on keeping Alex healthy and moving forward, the financial reality is heavy. With Alex unable to work and ongoing medical and living expenses, we’re now worried about something as basic as being able to maintain our housing during this time.

Asking for help is hard—but the support we’ve received so far has meant everything. It’s giving us breathing room, stability, and the ability to focus on healing instead of just surviving.

Alex is still here. He’s fighting. And because of the kindness of others, we have hope—real hope—that we’ll get through this. Thank you for being part of that.
