Alex's Sahara Trek for St. Peters Hospice

Hello and welcome to my fundraising page. Over the last few years I have done a few walks for charity but this time I thought I'd step it up a bit (pun intended). In Feb 2025 I will be trekking in the Sahara to raise money in aid of St. Peter's Hospice.

The trek will take us into the dunes of the Sahara desert and promises to be a massive challenge. We'll be in Morocco for a four day trek through the ever-changing landscape of the most famous desert in the world. We will summit the Chigaga Dunes – the highest dunes in the Sahara and witness the desert sunrise. Follow camels through the dunes and sleep under the stars in traditional camps.

The temperature range is crazy - really hot days and really cold nights - I have no idea how to pack for that!

St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's Hospice, caring for people in the local area who are living with incurable cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. Last year they cared for over 2,000 local people and their families. All their services are provided completely free of charge and they rely on donations and legacies from the local community to help them continue providing our specialised care to those who need it.

Some of my own family and loved ones have been helped by St. Peters and I have realised what a special place it is.
