Alex's relief fund
My best friend's world has been turned upside down. Her fiancé, Aaron Butler, green beret soldier part of the Utah national guard, was killed in action this week. Aaron was 27 years old and lost his life when he entered a booby-trapped building that exploded while his group was fighting members of the Islamic State in eastern Afghanistan. Alex and Aaron met in 2015 while he was in North Carolina completing the special forces program at Fort Bragg. When the time came for him to return to his base in Utah, they couldn't stand the thought of being apart. So in May of 2016 Alex packed her stuff, and together they drove out to Utah to start their life together. Alex left her family, friends, school, and job, all for the relationship she thought would last a lifetime. Unfortunatley, on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017... that time was cut short. Aaron gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect this country and that will never be forgotten. Alex has been with the Butler family day and night since finding out about Aaron's death, but she will be moving back to North Carolina soon. Since her life has been in Utah, she will be coming back to a whole new start. In the wake of this tragic loss, I've set up this gofundme to help cover some of the expenses she is about to face. Anything from a dime to a dollar will be helpful beyond words, and if anything please keep her and the entire Butler family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you and we miss you so, so much Aaron!
