Alex’s Recovery Funds

Hi, my name is Brittany and I am fundraising on behalf of my husband, Alex and our small family of three. (Alex, myself, and our pup Hank.)

On January 6th, 2024 our lives were turned upside down in the blink of an eye. While walking me to work, Alex was struck by a reckless driver traveling at an accelerated speed and left unconscious and fighting for his life while emergency paramedics were called. Once transported to Denver Health we spent the next several days in the ICU and PCU while we learned the extent of his injuries, and what to expect in the days/weeks to come. Above all odds Alex was discharged about a week later, and we were able to celebrate our 1 Year Anniversary on January 14th as husband and wife.

Due to the extent of Alex’s injuries, (fractured skull, major TBI, two separate brain bleeds,) we are both out of work as he recovers. I will hopefully be returning to work in the next several weeks, Alex’s recovery will be extended and progressive.

We’ve received an enormous amount of love and support from folks near and far. However, we realize that in addition to Alex’s recovery we are now battling unforeseen medical and legal costs, and recognize these battles will likely be lengthy and arduous. Any donation to our future is so appreciated. We’re not quite sure what’s next. Thank you all for your continued support
