Alex's non-slippy sock fund

On Tuesday, June 20th, Alex suffered a stroke.

Based on the location of the three impacted blood vessels near the back of his brain, it initially presented as a severe migraine. Thanks to the quick thinking and expertise of the Sutter Health emergency department, he was immediately transferred to Alta Bates Summit's comprehensive stroke care center and underwent an emergency thrombectomy to remove the clot.

He is now in recovery at the Acute Stroke Rehabilitation Center.
