Alex's "New Liver, New Me" Journey
Donation protected
Everyone who knows my brother Alex, knows what an amazing and caring person he is. He is known for his genuine, caring heart and his resilience is an inspiration to many. The last couple of months have been challenging, but yet life changing.
He was in desperate need of a liver transplant and spent the last 7 months in and out of hospitals. He kept a smile on his face the entire time and believed doors would open for him, he wouldn't take no for an answer. In September, we made the decision to trust Adventist Health Hospital with his medical care and in less than a week, he was transferred over to USC Keck. Both hospitals understood the severity of Alex's health and he was able to undergo a liver transplant within two weeks. We are so grateful for the wonderful staff in both hospitals and most importantly, the beautiful soul that made the decision to become a donor for someone in need. Because of them, my brother was given a second chance in life.
The next year will consist of weekly visits to USC Keck. Although he has a long journey ahead, his treatment plan for the next year will continue to place him off of work. We are asking for your support to financially keep him astrain. Every donation, no matter how small, will help ease the financial strain. Funds will go directly to support him during this unimaginably challenging time. Join us in celebrating Alex's "New Liver, New Me" journey ahead.
